Real Estate/Business Analyst

BW&A is a real estate, investment and tax credit consulting firm that facilitates real estate development and business expansion projects throughout the U.S. The company is seeking to hire a passionate and ambitious individual with entrepreneurial spirit to play a key role in the business’s ongoing expansion.

The firm’s tax credit practice focuses on providing customized consulting to real estate developers nationwide with their use and monetization of tax credits (including historic tax credits, new markets tax credits, low-income housing tax credits and renewable energy tax credits) and provides expertise to clients seeking to secure other project investment including debt and equity. BW&A also facilitates and manages investments in a wide variety of real estate projects.

The firm’s real estate development practice focuses on value-add projects involving the adaptive re-use of historic buildings. The company also provides general development consulting, economic development consulting, and project management to clients.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Work directly with firm’s principals managing all stages of existing real estate projects. Responsibilities include financial analysis and modeling of potential opportunities, project management of new or existing consulting engagements, and cultivation of firm’s client and investor relationships.

  •  Coordinate/manage due diligence review and closing process
  •  Perform a multitude of business development functions in search for new opportunities, and contribute to the firm’s future business strategy planning
  •  Preparation of investment memos and presentations for potential clients and investors
  • Represent the firm in its interactions with prospective and existing clients, investors and third-parties including attorneys/accountants/consultants
  • Support real estate development activities which may include attending construction meetings, interaction with local and state officials and general property/project management
  •  Conduct site visits at prospective at existing projects (travel may be required)

Qualifications: Candidates must be self-motivated with a proven ability to utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong quantitative acumen. Organizational and interpersonal skills are a must, as is a strong proficiency in MS Excel and related Office applications. Experience and strong interest in real estate development, finance, accounting, marketing and/or urban planning is preferred but not required. A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
